What you will do

  • Lead process safety programs to maintain compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plan (RMP), and internal and external standards.
  • Facilitate hazard identification and risk mitigation activities, including facility siting, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Management of Change (MOC), and risk calibration.
  • Work with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to resolve process safety issues, close recommendations, communicate risks, and deliver training.
  • Lead or participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action reporting.
  • Validate process safety leak calculations, analyze metrics and trends, and prepare reports.
  • Coordinate process safety audits, assurance activities, regulatory inspections, and industry knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or related Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in an HES-related field with at least 5 years of relevant process-industry experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge and experience implementing process safety elements, including PSM and RMP requirements.
  • Understanding of process hazards, corrosion mechanisms, safeguards, and qualitative and quantitative process safety risk evaluation methods.
  • Experience or knowledge of MOC, PHA, LOPA, risk calibration, and facility siting.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time indefinite basis without requiring employment sponsorship now or in the future.
  • A valid driver’s license and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are required.
