Sales Specialist (Furniture Retail)

Location: Covington, Louisiana and Metairie, Louisiana, United States; onsite showroom role

Compensation: $40,000–$70,000+ average annual earning potential after training, including base pay, bonuses, and commissions. Training pay is $15 per hour for 2–6 weeks; post-training base pay is $12.50 per hour plus 2%–6% commission and quarterly bonuses of up to $2,000.

What you will do

• Sell furniture, accessories, services, and design solutions while contributing to store sales goals.
• Guide customers through premium consultations, needs discovery, portfolio presentations, objection handling, closing, and follow-up.
• Schedule and present customized in-home room designs featuring fabrics, furniture, tables, accessories, and installation services.
• Provide customer support by phone and email, manage follow-up in Podium, and resolve customer issues.
• Complete orders, deposits, records, deliveries, store opening and closing, visual merchandising, and showroom maintenance.
• Support peers through product and selling-process coaching and contribute to a positive sales and service culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and the ability to close sales are strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, organizational, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time, conflicting priorities, business-driven schedules, and teamwork effectively.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Luxury sales, retail, interior design, or premium-materials experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
