Software Developer (Identity & Access Management)

Location: Tysons Corner, Virginia, United States; hybrid with on-site work three days per week

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Plan, design, and prototype secure authentication mechanisms for web-based applications.
• Implement a robust multi-factor authentication solution using a customer-preferred identity provider.
• Develop and integrate authentication workflows and single sign-on capabilities.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs, password policies, and account recovery flows.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Development Lead, and cross-functional team members.
• Deliver software using Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies and Jira.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with at least five years of relevant enterprise IT experience, or at least seven years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.
• Multi-year application development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, React, Angular, or Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience with identity and access management, single sign-on, and authentication workflows for web applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication and active listening skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with MFA and identity providers such as AWS Cognito, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, or Login.gov.
• Knowledge of AWS GovCloud services, including Cognito, Lambda, S3, EC2, and API Gateway.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, containers, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of phishing-resistant MFA, PIV/CAC integration, authentication and authorization, and secure coding practices.
• AWS certification such as AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect.
