Staff Engineer (Electrical Architect) (Automotive)

Location: Wyoming, Minnesota, USA; some travel is required for vehicle builds and supplier engagement.

Starting pay range: $111,000–$146,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop long-range product plans, platform strategies, and electrical architectures for future Powersports platforms.
• Define high-level and detailed system and feature requirements with vehicle architects and electrical systems engineers.
• Align architectures with customer needs, technology roadmaps, regulatory requirements, and product objectives.
• Conduct Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment and Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis activities.
• Review cybersecurity assessments and integrate relevant requirements into electrical architectures.
• Develop control-system plans, testing strategies, controllers, and supporting components with cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, computer, systems engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with circuit design, system-level design, component specifications, requirements management, and analog and digital circuit analysis.
• Experience with schematic capture, circuit simulation, vehicle or machine control systems, wire harness design, and CAN systems.
• Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies, global regulations, compliance standards, and industry requirements.
