Avionics Engineer B-2 (Avionics)

What you will do

• Support avionics integration for B-2 tactical data links, position location, display systems, digital interphone systems, and identification capabilities.
• Define, analyze, manage, integrate, verify, and sustain avionics subsystem requirements and related aircraft information management systems.
• Support hardware-in-the-loop, subsystem laboratory, ground, flight, development, and operational testing activities.
• Develop and review engineering artifacts, requirements documents, interface control documents, test plans, certification materials, acquisition plans, and technical evaluations.
• Support airworthiness, interoperability, frequency management, cybersecurity authorization, CNS/ATM compliance, and OSS&E certification activities.
• Coordinate with Air Force organizations, government teams, prime contractors, subcontractors, and engineering disciplines to resolve technical, safety, supportability, and operational issues.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required.
• ABET-accredited Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field plus 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD; or an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
• Engineering candidates must hold an undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program; qualifying fields include electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering.
• Degrees in engineering technology do not qualify for engineering positions.
• The degree must have been awarded in the year of, or after, the program’s original ABET accreditation date.
