Maintenance Mechanic I

Location: hirify.global facility in Haverhill, Massachusetts, United States

Starting pay: $37.91 per hour

What you will do

• Complete preventive maintenance on production equipment, material handling systems, safety devices, and facility utilities.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and align mechanical components such as bearings, gearboxes, transmissions, motors, couplings, brakes, drive systems, and conveyor belts.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, pumps, motors, and distribution components.
• Diagnose and repair PLCs, sensors, and related automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot and replace electrical components, including relays, motor starters, circuit breakers, transformers, solenoids, power supplies, and AC/DC motors.
• Perform work safely and efficiently independently or as part of a team while following safety, quality, and operational standards.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or higher completed before starting.
• At least one year of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Effective verbal, written, electronic, and active-listening communication skills.
• Ability to pass hirify.global-selected testing as part of the selection process.

Nice to have

• Associate or technical degree in a related field.
• Journeyman certificate or two years of vocational or trade school training in a related discipline.
• Three years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain a Massachusetts Hoisting Operator License.
• Experience with material cutting, joining, fabrication, and repair of machine components.
