Software Engineering Manager (Healthcare)

Location: Newton, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work schedule

Salary: $146,806–$167,100 per year. The role may also offer an annual bonus and an anticipated salary range of $125,300–$208,900 per year depending on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and delivery of scalable solutions for managing and searching information.
• Collaborate with technical leaders, data scientists, and enterprise data governance specialists to define data solution strategies.
• Make strategic technology decisions and ensure alignment with architectural standards and business direction.
• Design applications using AWS, Elasticsearch, React, Python, machine learning, relational and graph databases, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
• Integrate AI-generated data into applications to create value for end users.
• Define requirements, design specifications, usage criteria, and technical solutions with subject matter experts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field with 5 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• Healthcare domain experience.
• Experience creating Python ETL scripts, standalone applications, data pipelines, REST API integrations, and scalable ETL processes.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and other relational databases, graph databases, Hadoop ecosystem tools, XML-based data migration, and RESTful data processing.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, unit and functional testing, code reviews, and code refactoring.
• Ability to analyze requirements, translate them into technical specifications, troubleshoot production applications, and improve performance and reliability.
