Operations Manager

Location: Wilton, United Kingdom; onsite at an Upper-Tier COMAH manufacturing site.

What you will do

• Lead the Wilton manufacturing organisation and deliver strong safety, environmental, quality, and operational performance.
• Ensure safe and efficient plant operations while maintaining compliance with procedures, regulations, and environmental permits.
• Drive EHS excellence, operational discipline, continuous improvement, reliability, productivity, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Manage, coach, and develop Shift Managers and the wider operations organisation, including succession planning and talent development.
• Lead operational cost control, performance management, organisational change, and sustainable business improvements.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering teams and contribute to site leadership, governance, capital projects, and Safe Control of Work.

Requirements

• Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline; Chartered Engineer status or progress toward chartership is desirable.
• Proven leadership experience in chemical manufacturing or a similarly regulated major-hazard environment.
• Strong knowledge of process safety, EHS compliance, operational risk management, regulatory requirements, and environmental permits.
• Demonstrated success improving safety, reliability, productivity, and cost performance.
• Experience developing and leading high-performing teams, managing stakeholders, influencing across functions, and delivering organisational change.
• Experience in a unionised environment is desirable.
