TL;DR
Strategic Supply Chain Specialist/Procurement (Government Contracting): Managing end-to-end sourcing and subcontract administration for U.S. Government prime contracts with an accent on FAR/DFAR compliance, supplier relationships, competitive pricing, and procurement for munitions manufacturing. Focus on evaluating bids, negotiating supplier terms, mitigating supply risks, managing delivery compliance, and closing purchase orders and subcontracts.

Location: Texarkana, Texas, United States. Remote work may be an option, with preference for candidates in the Texarkana area; the role may also require performing functions at the company office or work site and visiting client facilities.

Salary: $80,640–$120,960 per year.

What you will do

  • Develop sourcing strategies and select qualified suppliers for RFP and RFQ processes.
  • Manage the full sourcing lifecycle, including bidder lists, RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiations, purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders, and closeout.
  • Administer subcontracts under FAR and DFAR requirements and resolve supplier invoice disputes.
  • Manage supplier relationships, audits, quality requirements, delivery compliance, and diverse supplier development.
  • Negotiate pricing, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement supply risk mitigation plans.
  • Communicate procurement risks and schedule impacts to business and supply chain stakeholders and support the Estimating team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, government regulations, and legal contracting principles.
  • Strong sourcing, negotiation, analytical, organizational, communication, decision-making, change management, and conflict management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and SAP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in government contracting, munitions, or manufacturing environments; ability to read and write complex documents in English.
