Head of Contract Manufacturing, NAM Procurement (Manufacturing)

Location: United States of America (Remote)

Expected compensation: $123,690–$181,412 annually, plus discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for contract manufacturers and tollers across North American business units.
• Build supplier relationships, identify new suppliers, negotiate terms, and manage vendor selection and qualification.
• Establish supplier performance metrics and KPIs covering quality, cost, service, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Lead cross-functional work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, legal, compliance, and finance teams.
• Manage a team of sourcing professionals and support coaching, development, budgets, and forecasts.
• Develop procurement strategies for new product introductions, make-or-buy decisions, RFQs, contract performance, and supply chain risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Technical, Business, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, sourcing or procurement, and leading projects or teams.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement or manufacturing environments working directly with contract manufacturers.
• Experience with category strategies, supply-base assessments, make-or-buy decisions, contract negotiation and execution, and risk management.
• Strong negotiation, data analysis, communication, facilitation, decision-making, and influencing skills.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and tools, including 5S, VSM, Kaizen, and KPIs.
