Atlassian Systems Administrator - DOW

Location: On-site at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, or Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Remote and telework are not available. No relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, maintain, and scale Atlassian enterprise applications including Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align.
• Operate Atlassian workloads in Docker and Kubernetes environments with high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Manage applications across secure DoD IL5 and IL6 environments.
• Automate administration, patching, system checks, and deployments.
• Support performance tuning, database integrations, application configuration, log analysis, and complex troubleshooting.
• Coordinate Remedy-based change requests and collaborate with engineering and security teams on mission-focused solutions.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of full-time professional experience.
• At least 3 years of systems administration or DevOps engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and managing production workloads in Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or higher.
• Active DoW Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain an active DoW Top Secret clearance.
• Day-shift availability for on-site work at one of the specified U.S. defense locations.

Nice to have

• Active DoW Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
• CKA, CKS, CKAD, or Red Hat container and Kubernetes certification.
• Experience configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting Atlassian Data Center applications hosted on Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure Government within DoD IL5/IL6 boundaries.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
