What you will do

  • Manage and lead field investigations across soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, and vapor intrusion pathways.
  • Develop practical, solution-driven remediation strategies aligned with client objectives.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, multiple deadlines, and fast-paced project teams.
  • Interface with clients and support account leads in securing and growing business.
  • Perform technical, style, and consistency reviews using strong quality assurance and quality control practices.
  • Mentor junior staff and prioritize safety across environmental field activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology or Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering; a master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • 10–15 years of environmental consulting, hydrogeology, or engineering experience focused on contaminant investigation and remediation; the overview also states 15–20 years of remediation-related experience.
  • Technical proficiency with Michigan Part 201 and/or RCRA Corrective Action programs, from site characterization and risk evaluation through no further action.
  • Experience with in situ and ex situ soil and groundwater remediation, hydrogeological principles, geochemistry, and contaminant transport.
  • Valid driver’s license, 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, and current 8-hour annual refresher course.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background, drug-screen, and motor vehicle records checks.

Nice to have

  • In-depth PFAS investigation and treatment experience.
  • Experience with vapor intrusion, soil gas, and indoor air investigations.
  • Knowledge of RCRA solid waste rules and monitoring requirements.
  • 10-hour Construction certification and experience in other Midwestern states.
