Senior Architect, AI Solutions Architecture - ETS (AI)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Annual base salary: $139,400–$230,000, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable, production-grade AI, machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI solutions for business domains.
• Design LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, memory systems, vector database solutions, and tool or function-calling patterns.
• Create reusable architecture patterns, reference architectures, and design standards for enterprise AI initiatives.
• Define target-state architectures and roadmaps, lead technology proofs of concept, and perform hands-on prototyping.
• Support technology modernization, transformation, and technical-debt reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with technology, engineering, product, business, and architecture stakeholders while communicating architectural direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM or technology field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 6 additional years of architecture or software engineering experience; the broader profile requests 8 years of architecture experience.
• Recent hands-on experience with AI/ML development and deployment, machine learning algorithms, neural networks, generative AI, LLMs, transformer architectures, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with agentic AI patterns, including tool use, function calling, RAG, memory systems, vector databases, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Experience with LangChain, Strands, Crew AI, MCP, AWS Bedrock and AgentCore, plus familiarity with MLOps, AI Ops, and CI/CD for AI/ML workflows.
• Strong architecture leadership, strategic thinking, communication, collaboration, agile delivery, and experience with transformational change; insurance technology experience and insurance industry knowledge are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Foundry, Agent 365, or GCP/Gemini AI.
• Knowledge of multi-cloud and SaaS AI capabilities.
• Insurance technology experience and understanding of business capability models.
