Program Manager / Senior Hydrogeologist

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan; opportunity also available in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Salary: USD $120,000–$150,000 per year, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Develop practical, solution-driven remedial strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Lead and manage multiple environmental remediation and problem-solving projects.
• Analyze scientific and technical data and apply professional judgment to complex problems.
• Interface with clients and account leads to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Mentor junior staff and develop effective technical teams.
• Perform technical, style, and consistency reviews while maintaining strong quality assurance and quality control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology or engineering; a master’s degree is highly preferred.
• At least 15 years of environmental consulting, hydrogeology, or engineering experience focused on contaminant investigation and remediation.
• Experience with in situ and ex situ soil and groundwater remediation methods.
• Proficiency in hydrogeological principles, site characterization, conceptual site models, contaminant transport, and remediation.
• Technical proficiency with Michigan Part 201 and/or RCRA Corrective Action programs.
• Valid driver’s license, 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, and current 8-hour annual refresher required.

Nice to have

• Experience with RCRA solid waste and Coal Combustion Residuals rules and monitoring requirements.
• Vapor intrusion, soil gas, and indoor air investigation experience.
• Environmental consulting experience in other Midwest states.
• 10-hour Construction certification.
