Director, Finance – Mid-Atlantic Region

Location: Washington, DC, USA; hybrid schedule with a minimum of four days per week in the office

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year, bonus eligible

What you will do

• Lead finance and accounting functions for the Washington, D.C. television station market, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, headcount reporting, and P&L and balance sheet analysis.
• Summarize financial results, identify key financial drivers, track KPIs, and provide market insights to regional leadership and stakeholders.
• Partner with the station general manager, department heads, and sales team to support decision-making and manage revenue pacing, rate, volume, and programming analytics.
• Drive consistent accounting treatment and improve the efficiency and accuracy of finance processes.
• Oversee capital investment planning and reporting, expense analysis, audits, and ad hoc financial projects.
• Mentor and develop a senior financial analyst while preparing presentations and business process improvement models for executive management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 8+ years of experience in finance, public accounting, or operations.
• Experience leading and managing support staff in a global environment and influencing strategic decisions through strong stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledge of GAAP and working knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger, and scheduling systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP/AOE/BPC, including data analysis and manipulation.
• Ability to work from the Washington, DC office at least four days per week under the current hybrid schedule.

• Experience in the media and entertainment industry.
