Electrical Engineer (Power)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed states include Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Regular work at the company office or work site, field assignments, and factory inspections may be required.

Salary: $102,960–$154,440 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical guidance and engineering support for assigned project activities.
• Develop engineering design criteria, specifications, project scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Coordinate electrical design work with other engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, and project personnel.
• Review designs and documents for code compliance, consistency, logical presentation, and constructability.
• Support equipment and material procurement, field assignments, and factory inspections.
• Stamp required project documents as a Professional Engineer when responsible for the work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Eligibility for professional engineer licensure through the applicable State Board of Engineers is required.
• At least 6 years of engineering experience and experience with project execution procedures.
• Experience with industrial medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution, including lighting, grounding, power distribution, heat tracing, and electrical area classification.
• Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NEMA, and NFPA standards, plus electrical power system studies such as short circuit, coordination, and arc flash.
• Ability to write, read, and communicate complex information in English; familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and ReCap.

Nice to have

• ABET-accredited Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
