Staff Test Engineer (Semiconductors)

Location: Onsite in Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia

What you will do

• Own and drive sustaining test engineering for optocoupler sensor products in high-volume manufacturing.
• Perform product testing and ensure functionality, performance, electrical and optical data accuracy, and quality compliance.
• Analyze yield trends, test variation, failures, and customer issues; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and optimize test programs, hardware, methodologies, test limits, guard bands, and screening methods.
• Lead product characterization, test specification feasibility validation, multi-site and tester correlation, and OSAT support.
• Support audits and customer technical discussions, manage complaints through 8D methodology, and provide technical leadership and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of semiconductor test engineering experience, preferably in sustaining or high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of opto-sensor and analog/mixed-signal testing.
• Hands-on experience with ATE platforms including Teradyne, Aemulus, Juno, and related handlers.
• Experience with test program development, test hardware and methodology optimization, yield analysis, failure analysis, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with product characterization, statistical analysis tools, 8D methodology, CAPA, testing equipment, soldering, and hand or power tools.
