Test Maintenance Engineer (ATE)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia; onsite, with no remote work available

What you will do

• Set up new products and improve test strategies for existing semiconductor products.
• Reduce program test time to improve production capacity and test yield.
• Analyze customer failure samples with the QA team and develop countermeasures to prevent recurring issues.
• Train technicians to support smooth daily repair operations.
• Troubleshoot test boards and automated test equipment when IC failures occur, and implement permanent countermeasures.
• Monitor test station operation, performance, stability, and robustness while investigating deviations and root causes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Microelectronics, or an equivalent field.
• At least one year of experience with Automated Test Equipment systems, hardware/software integration, and production test methodologies.
• Knowledge of ATE platforms such as Teradyne ETS-800, Advantest T2000, T3347, Fusion-CX, or LTX.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to travel overseas for new product transfers or machine buy-offs.
