Senior Test Equipment Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Own equipment strategy, reliability, automation, and improvement projects across test operations.
• Minimize downtime and improve OEE, productivity, quality, yield, and profitability.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures and abnormal production issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and process efficiency.
• Develop preventive maintenance strategies and maintain technical documentation.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency through software, scripting, and equipment integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in a semiconductor test equipment or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with equipment maintenance, failure analysis, and process improvement.
• Understanding of OEE, MTBA, quality, and yield improvement concepts.
• Experience with ATE testers, handlers, or load boards.
• Regular full-time onsite employment in Telok Panglima Garang, Malaysia; remote work is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Advantest M4841 handlers and Teradyne J750 testers.
• Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, 5-Why, or other problem-solving tools.
• Experience with Spotfire, Power BI, RPA, NPI, equipment qualification, automation, or robot arms.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.
