Senior Engineering & Integration Manager (AI)

Location: Global, with Africa or Europe preferred; otherwise North America. International travel to Zambia for 90+ days per year is required.

What you will do

• Act as KoBold's primary technical authority and design authority for the Mingomba copper project through design, construction, and handover to operations.
• Establish the basis of design, engineering standards, design criteria, technical governance, and scope-freeze processes.
• Direct EPCM and specialist contractor engineering performance, including progress measurement, interface management, quality, cost, and schedule control.
• Lead constructability, operability, maintainability, and value-engineering reviews across project design milestones.
• Integrate engineering across disciplines, prepare stage-gate technical submissions, manage change control, and coordinate with regulators and external technical stakeholders.
• Own process safety engineering, engineering data management, quality assurance, and technical handover while building and mentoring the KoBold engineering team.

Requirements

• 18+ years of professional engineering experience in major capital projects in mining, minerals processing, oil and gas, or equivalent heavy industry.
• Significant experience as an owner's-side lead engineering authority and a track record delivering projects from FEED through mechanical completion.
• Experience on at least one project exceeding $700M in total capital cost.
• Deep experience directing EPCM contractors and challenging multidisciplinary designs across civil/structural, mechanical, process, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Experience with constructability, operability, value engineering, HAZOP/HAZID, technical risk registers, engineering management plans, and stage-gate submissions.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering; Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional registration is strongly preferred. Ability and willingness to travel internationally to Zambia for 90+ days per year is required.
