Process Engineer - Mechanical (Printed Circuit Boards)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $79,830–$133,051 annually, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Research mechanical processes that meet technology requirements for printed circuit board manufacturing.
• Plan and implement processes and related equipment in drilling, lamination, and plating departments.
• Establish operating conditions and monitor process performance daily to maintain consistent production.
• Conduct failure mode effect analysis, failure analysis, and root cause analysis for process and product issues.
• Prepare operating, maintenance, and safety procedures and instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques for process control.
• Knowledge and application of failure mode effect analysis for process development and improvement.
• General knowledge of methods for training personnel in process operation and theory.
• Ability to communicate in English as required for the role.
• Must have or be capable of obtaining and maintaining a US Department of Defense security clearance.

Nice to have

• At least one year of experience inspecting printed circuit boards.
