Staff Mechanical Engineer (Powersports)

Salary: $116,000–$153,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, fabrication, integration, and evaluation of functional prototypes and concept models.
• Develop emerging technologies from early concepts into viable solutions for product integration.
• Lead concept builds, document technical learnings, and recommend next steps for strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, manufacturing, suppliers, laboratories, and internal experts.
• Analyze technical risks and develop mitigation plans supporting off-road vehicle and seasonal product roadmaps.
• Coordinate materials testing and provide recommendations on performance, durability, manufacturability, cost, and integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design or related engineering roles preferred.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools such as Creo, Blender, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on fabrication experience, including machining, welding, and assembly, preferred.
• Experience developing system requirements and performance specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in agriculture, transportation, powersports, or automotive design.
• Experience working with domestic and international technology partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Project, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
