Finisher / Quality Inspector (Manufacturing)

Location: United Kingdom. Full-time onsite role with initial hours from Monday to Thursday, 7:00–15:00, and Friday, 7:00–14:00. Must be flexible to move to rotating morning and afternoon shifts. Includes two weeks of work-based training at the hirify.global facility in Switzerland.

What you will do

• Conduct first-part, in-process, final, and visual inspections of parts and assemblies against drawings, router specifications, and quality plans.
• Perform dimensional and quality tests using calipers, micrometers, thickness and height gauges, optical comparators, manual CMMs, and other precision equipment.
• Identify visual defects such as blemishes, char, voids, and cracks while finishing and reworking intricate features to required standards.
• Maintain quality records and complete operator accuracy and traceability documentation within the Quality Management System.
• Conduct incoming inspections, request corrections to routers and prints, and initiate NCRs, MRBs, and CARs.
• Participate in problem-solving activities and work independently across multiple quality-department areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of previous inspection experience.
• Experience using basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, OGP equipment, or manual CMMs.
• Basic mechanical and computer skills, with strong visual attention, reasoning, and judgment.
• Inspection experience in a machine-shop or manufacturing environment is preferred.
