Director of Operations - Industrial Electrical - Michels Power, Inc.

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Neenah, Wisconsin. Nationwide operational scope with frequent travel to field and project locations.

What you will do

• Lead divisional operations across multiple regions and project portfolios, aligning execution with strategic goals.
• Oversee safety, revenue, margin, production, productivity, backlog, forecasting, and resource utilization.
• Conduct monthly operational and financial reviews and present performance reports to executive leadership.
• Provide executive oversight for complex electrical construction projects involving industrial facilities, substations, compressor stations, pipelines, and power generation.
• Support bidding, planning, risk management, subcontractor management, procurement coordination, contract compliance, commissioning, startup, energization, and turnover.
• Hire, coach, develop, and retain operational and project leadership teams while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 15+ years of industrial electrical, power delivery, midstream, power generation, utility, or heavy industrial construction experience, including leadership across geographic regions.
• Experience leading large-scale electrical construction operations and project portfolios.
• Demonstrated success managing teams responsible for complex industrial and energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong operational, financial, and strategic leadership capabilities.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Experience with compressor stations, natural gas pipeline facilities, midstream energy infrastructure, power generation, or industrial process plants.
• Background in industrial electrical construction, inside wiring, utility infrastructure, or EPC project delivery.
• Experience overseeing commissioning, startup, energization, and system turnover activities.
• Experience managing large-scale portfolios across multiple geographic regions.
