Warehouse Operations Management Trainee (Pennsylvania)

Location: Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania; training is held on-site, followed by required out-of-state relocation with company-provided assistance. Classroom training also takes place in Plano, Texas. Ability to travel 25% of the time is required.

Salary: $28.85 per hour on a full-time schedule, with possible relocation or cost-of-living adjustments.

What you will do

• Complete a six-month, hands-on management training program in a distribution warehouse.
• Perform duties across distribution-center operations, management, purchasing, and special operations projects.
• Observe experienced employees and learn operational methods, procedures, and performance standards.
• Shadow contractors, builders, service and maintenance providers, and retail customers to understand the swimming pool, irrigation, and landscaping business.
• Attend classroom sessions covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems.
• Present program results to senior management at the end of the training period.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial distribution, supply chain management, management, operations, or a related discipline, with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership or problem-solving experience; relevant internships, organizations, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership may be considered in lieu of work experience.
• Ability and willingness to work in a distribution warehouse, lead and develop a team, and manage rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability to relocate during and after the program for career development opportunities, with relocation expenses covered by the company.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time, operate heavy machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts, and lift products weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background verification is required.
