Associate Application Designer (Commercial Interiors)

What you will do

• Support commercial furniture design projects through space planning, furniture applications, specifications, drawings, renderings, and documentation.
• Prepare layouts, presentation materials, visuals, and project files under the guidance of experienced designers.
• Assist with product research, finish selections, application options, typical development, and design problem-solving.
• Review assigned work for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project direction.
• Collaborate with sales, design, project management, visualization, product, and other internal partners.
• Build knowledge of hirify.global products, workplace trends, contract furniture practices, accessibility considerations, and application standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architectural Design, Facility Design, or a relevant academic discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of commercial design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, electrical plans, and furniture plans.
• Foundational proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, CET, SketchUp, CAP Studio, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, collaboration, and deadline management skills.
• Ability to receive direction, incorporate feedback, ask clarifying questions, and escalate risks or missing information.
• This organization participates in E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification.

Nice to have

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in interior design, commercial design, workplace design, dealership, manufacturing, or professional services.
• Internship, co-op, studio, or project experience involving commercial interiors, workplace design, furniture planning, or design documentation.
• Interest in workplace strategy, contract furniture applications, product strategy, and customer needs.
