Electrical Reliability Engineer

Location: DeLisle, Mississippi, United States; onsite at the plant

Salary: $85,801–$134,064 annually, plus a 6% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Support plant electrical, controls, instrumentation, and power distribution systems.
• Provide expertise in low- and medium-voltage distribution, motor control centers, switchgear, protection relays, power cables, motors, drives, and soft starters.
• Support capital and cost projects, including scopes of work, estimates, schedules, equipment specifications, vendor proposals, and design reviews.
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, instrumentation, and equipment-failure issues with maintenance and operations personnel.
• Lead root-cause failure analyses for electrical and controls systems and own reliability improvements.
• Support process safety activities, management-of-change documentation, preventive-maintenance optimization, procedures, and technical training.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of similar experience, including related internship or co-op experience.
• Experience with plant electrical, PLC, and instrumentation system design, maintenance, and operation.
• Knowledge of motors, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, soft starters, and process measurements including flow, pressure, temperature, level, pH, density, and conductivity.
• Experience working with field personnel during maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, organize workflows, make decisions within guidelines, manage emergencies and competing priorities, and communicate effectively.

Nice to have

• SAP knowledge.
• Knowledge of NEC, ISA, industry codes, standards, best practices, and engineered solutions.
• Rockwell PLC experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or mining.
