Reliability Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Rochester, New York, USA; onsite at the plant

Salary: $70,000–$98,000 base annually

What you will do

• Lead site reliability initiatives to improve Total Effective Equipment Performance and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
• Analyze equipment performance and reliability data to identify recurring issues, eliminate failures, and improve asset performance.
• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage preventive maintenance optimization assessments and improve maintenance strategies.
• Own the site Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance program, including equipment testing, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Capital Project teams to improve reliability, maintainability, spare parts availability, and process safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, manufacturing technology, or industrial operations.
• Experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis, Preventive Maintenance Optimization, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, or predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of equipment failure modes, reliability analysis, asset performance improvement, Mechanical Integrity programs, inspection practices, and reliability-centered maintenance.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, preferably SAP Plant Maintenance, and the ability to turn operational data into reliability improvements.
• Commitment to safety, quality, food safety, environmental compliance, GMP, and HACCP programs.

Nice to have

• Experience in food, ingredients, chemical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience adding production equipment, functional locations, bills of material, and maintenance plans to SAP.
• Experience with vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, or condition-monitoring systems.
