Group Manager - Colorado (Water Infrastructure)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

Annual salary: $154,000–$220,000, depending on qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead strategic planning, annual operating planning, budgeting, and performance management for the group.
• Develop client relationships, manage sales activities and opportunity pipelines, and support strategic pursuits.
• Supervise recruitment, selection, performance management, staff development, retention, and succession planning.
• Partner with project managers to meet budgets, schedules, client expectations, technical standards, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate workload forecasting, staffing levels, work-sharing, practice initiatives, and collaboration across groups.
• Serve as a senior technical advisor and quality-control reviewer while overseeing implementation of the quality management system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technical design, project management, personnel leadership, management, and organizational leadership.
• Proven client service, relationship-building, sales, and technical project delivery experience.
• Professional Engineering license in the state or states served by the group, or the ability to obtain the required licensure within six months.
• Technical background in a water-related design or planning discipline, such as water or wastewater transmission and conveyance, treatment, stormwater, or water resources.
