Claims Specialist Supervisor (Title Insurance)

What you will do

• Lead Claims Specialists and Claims Coordinators through resource allocation, workload distribution, onboarding, training, career development, and performance management.
• Provide technical guidance on the investigation, evaluation, coverage analysis, documentation, and resolution of title insurance claims.
• Review claims requiring management involvement and ensure handling meets company procedures, standards, and authority levels.
• Identify complex claims, legal issues, significant exposure, and matters requiring escalation to Claims Counsel or senior leadership.
• Monitor productivity, quality, workloads, and service levels while implementing process and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with Claims Counsel, underwriting, operations, leadership, and other internal partners to resolve claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Typically 4–8 years of experience in title insurance, title underwriting, title claims, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of title insurance claims investigation, evaluation, and resolution.
• Leadership, supervisory, team lead, or comparable experience directing and developing others.
• Strong analytical, judgment, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attorney-specific duties require admission to practice law and applicable licensure in good standing; a JD is applicable but not required.
