Outside Property Claim Manager (Insurance)

Location: 100% remote, but the selected candidate must reside in and service the assigned Maryland territory. The role includes mobile field work, inspections, agency visits, and physical property access.

Annual base salary: $104,000–$171,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards and a sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, performance-manage, and develop Outside Property claim professionals.
• Recruit, onboard, retain, and develop talent while implementing staffing, training, succession, and performance strategies.
• Review claim files, assign new notices according to employee skill sets, and improve claim quality, service, resolution, and cost management.
• Conduct ride-along inspections and reinspections to provide coaching and feedback.
• Use management information, data, and technology to identify opportunities and improve business results.
• Build relationships with colleagues, customers, agents, regulatory agencies, and business partners.

Requirements

• At least three years of claim work experience in one or more lines of business.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Claim management experience and a bachelor’s degree are preferred.
• Insurance license acquisition and maintenance may be required; required licenses generally must be obtained within three months of starting.
• Must reside in the assigned Maryland territory and be able to access properties, carry and set up a 38–49-pound ladder, walk on roofs, and enter tight spaces.
