Automation and Process Control Engineer (Process Control)

Location: New Johnsonville, Tennessee, United States; onsite with daily presence required within reasonable commuting distance

Salary: $110,544–$172,725 annually, plus an 11% annual bonus target

What you will do

• Design, configure, commission, and improve DCS and PLC control systems.
• Automate process functions and develop control-room graphics for efficient operator response.
• Provide instrumentation, programming, and technical support for manufacturing operations.
• Lead minor and medium capital automation projects, including project design input and site management of change processes.
• Manage DCS and SIS software, networks, backups, documentation, monitoring, spare parts, and system maintenance.
• Coach operations and maintenance personnel, participate in system reviews, and investigate control-system incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 10+ years of experience designing and implementing process control strategies.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience configuring, supporting, and maintaining DCS and/or PLC systems.
• At least 1 year of experience in chemical, industrial manufacturing, or a related engineering environment.
• Ability and willingness to relocate within reasonable commuting distance of New Johnsonville, Tennessee, and report onsite according to the work schedule.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, TN, or other non-immigrant status sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Honeywell DCS and safety systems.
• Experience with Process Safety Management, Process Hazard Analysis, Layer of Protection Analysis, or Safety Interlock Systems.
• Experience identifying continuous improvement opportunities and leading control-system projects.
