What you will do

• Implement industrial automation platforms and systems supporting manufacturing expansions and new production lines.
• Lead assigned projects through construction, startup, commissioning, validation, and qualification.
• Generate user and functional requirements, equipment specifications, system specifications, risk assessments, and safety assessments.
• Support PLCs, robotics, vision systems, networks, data historians, SCADA, DCS, MES, ERP interfaces, BMS, AMS, HVAC, utility controls, and process control systems.
• Review design documents, submittals, and purchases; develop bid packages and coordinate vendors and contractors.
• Train and develop local technical staff to support automation systems and manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Experience implementing and supporting industrial automation platforms and manufacturing systems.
• Ability to lead projects and coordinate vendors, contractors, and plant personnel.
• Knowledge of PLCs, robotics, vision systems, SCADA, data collection, distributed control systems, and manufacturing device integration.
• Ability to ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, and local codes, including FDA, OSHA, and environmental requirements.
• Ability to work onsite at the Wilson, North Carolina manufacturing site.
