Senior Process Controls Engineer

Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid work arrangement. Travel 25%–40%, mainly across the Americas and mostly within the United States. Participation in a shared 24/7/365 on-call rotation is required.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot urgent operational issues involving process instrumentation, DCS and PLC control logic, and engineering and operator control stations.
• Implement safe improvement projects with multidisciplinary engineering and site operations teams.
• Support maintenance outages, preventive maintenance activities, productivity modifications, and obsolete equipment upgrades.
• Optimize existing assets and address instrumentation and process control system obsolescence.
• Develop long-range plans for facility safety, reliability, productivity, and controls modernization.
• Provide technical leadership, training, mentoring, and clear communication to engineering and operations teams.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in process automation systems and/or instrumentation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with automation systems, control panels, and field instrumentation.
• Experience providing technical leadership, training, and mentoring.
• Strong communication skills for investigation, troubleshooting, and technical presentations.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Valid driver's license, good driving record, ability to travel 25%–40%, and flexibility for the shared on-call rotation are required.
