Risk Analyst (Hybrid)

Location: Santa Ana, California, USA; hybrid attendance required three days per week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

Salary: $64,300–$85,700 annually

What you will do

• Analyze risk and business data to identify trends, emerging risks, exposure changes, control gaps, and areas requiring attention.
• Support ERM reporting cycles by validating business-unit submissions and preparing dashboards, presentations, and governance materials.
• Conduct risk assessments and process analyses to identify risks, controls, dependencies, ownership, and improvement opportunities.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop recommendations to strengthen controls, mitigate risk, and improve business processes.
• Develop and monitor KRIs, risk metrics, thresholds, issues, corrective actions, and remediation activities.
• Maintain ERM records and enhance risk methodologies, procedures, templates, tools, and program documentation while partnering with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in risk management, business analysis, internal audit, compliance, controls, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of risk identification, assessment, controls, mitigation, monitoring, remediation, and reporting.
• Familiarity with ERM frameworks such as COSO ERM or ISO 31000.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to create dashboards, charts, presentations, and other reports.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, title insurance, mortgage, settlement services, banking, insurance, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with enterprise or operational risk management, compliance, internal audit, KRIs, risk appetite metrics, issue management, or remediation tracking.
• Experience with process walkthroughs, stakeholder interviews, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, GRC platforms such as AuditBoard or ServiceNow, or similar tools.
