CNC Lathe Operator (Plastic Machining)

Location: Kulpsville, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite, 3rd shift from 10:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

What you will do

• Set up, load, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes to fabricate components from customer and company drawings.
• Edit CNC programs and generate machine code at the machine using G-code and subprograms.
• Operate multiple fabrication and ancillary machines while meeting production efficiency and quality requirements.
• Use standard measuring instruments and inspection systems, including QMM, OGP, Keyence, and optical comparators.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections, make machine adjustments, and maintain part quality standards.
• Complete basic equipment maintenance, documentation, safety procedures, and team improvement activities.

Requirements

• At least 12 months of CNC lathe experience in a production environment, including NC programming, editing, setup, troubleshooting, and operation.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with G-code, machine commands, subprograms, edge-break calculations, and general program editing.
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings, work instructions, and company documents independently.
• Ability to operate a workstation computer and search, save, and edit files.
• U.S. Person status is required for authorized access to ITAR-controlled data.

Nice to have

• Experience machining thermoplastic materials such as PBI, PEEK/ARLON, NYSILON, acetal, UHMWPE, and PTFE.
