CNC Operator-2nd Shift

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts according to work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, specifications, and machining parameters.
• Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances, calculate machining requirements, and use G-code or conversational programming.
• Install and adjust chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers, vices, and trimming heads.
• Perform drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread-chasing operations while measuring parts and maintaining quality standards.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, adjust and reprogram controls, sharpen or replace worn tools, and maintain auxiliary equipment such as conventional mills, drill presses, and band saws.
• Document production and quality activity, complete preventive maintenance, communicate shift continuity needs, and instruct CNC Operator Assistants.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of experience as a CNC Operator Assistant, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with CNC machine setup, tooling, blueprint reading, and dimensional measuring equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions, work orders, setup sheets, packaging instructions, and technical drawings.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use CNC automated controls and operational and inspection systems.
• High-school-level mathematics, including fractions, decimals, geometry, trigonometry, ratios, percentages, and measurement calculations.
• Effective English communication by telephone, in person, and in writing is required. Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds is also required.

• A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available, with half paid after 90 days and the remainder after 180 days.
