SEO & Content Strategy Intern (AI Search)

Location: West Des Moines, Iowa, United States; virtual, in-person, or hybrid options available.

What you will do

• Research keywords and prompts for blog posts, landing pages, and website content.
• Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and on-page copy for SEO and AI search.
• Publish and format content in client CMS platforms such as WordPress and Sanity.
• Update monthly or quarterly SEO performance reports using Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
• Identify basic technical SEO issues, including broken links and missing metadata.
• Collaborate with SEO and content teams in a fast-paced agency environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in advertising, communications, journalism, marketing, data science, or a related field.
• Strong writing, communication, analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, or willingness to learn.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and project management software such as Asana.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience through internships, campus activities, volunteering, coursework, or transferable work experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
