Founding Hardware Engineer

Location: On-site in New York, NY, USA; San Francisco is also welcomed. This is not a remote role.

Salary: $150,000 USD annually, plus meaningful founding equity.

hirify.global is a Y Combinator-backed wearable technology startup building a device that reads and analyzes real-time emotional states.

What you will do

• Own the complete electrical and PCB design for the wearable device.
• Iterate rapidly on hardware revisions based on testing and user feedback.
• Drive consumer hardware development from early prototype through mass production.
• Help establish the hardware foundation as the product and company scale.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on board and PCB design experience.
• Demonstrated experience shipping physical consumer electronics products.
• Strong background in embedded hardware and sensors.
• Comfort working at a fast pace in an early-stage environment.
• Ability to work on-site in New York, NY, USA, or in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer electronics or wearable hardware.
• Background at a top-tier hardware company or consumer electronics manufacturer.
