Hardware Engineering Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end development of two new product lines from concept to mass production.
• Manage the relationship with contract manufacturing partners, including design transfer packages and quality control.
• Perform hands-on engineering tasks including CAD, schematics, and board bring-up.
• Establish and maintain hardware processes such as stage gates, quality systems, and supplier qualification.
• Build and grow a high-performing hardware engineering team.
• Ensure the field performance and cost-efficiency of existing shipping product lines.

Requirements

• Must be based in Sunnyvale, CA (On-site role).
• At least five years of experience in production mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Proven track record of shipping products through external contract manufacturers at volume.
• Experience owning full design transfer packages including CAD, BOM, and test procedures.
• Experience taking products through certifications such as FCC, CE, and UL.
• Ability to build processes that scale and experience growing engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with low-voltage connected devices like drones, wearables, or security cameras.
• Background in platform design engineering at large companies.
• Experience with edge compute, imaging sensors, or DSP.
