Company

hirify.global develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end design of complex digital and mixed-signal electronics modules and small systems, from architecture and schematics through layout, testing, production, and deployment.
  • Develop hardware architectures and requirements for software-defined radios, single-board computers, and control and telemetry subsystems.
  • Lead small teams developing multi-module electronic products and systems.
  • Perform PCB layout in Altium Designer, including high-density interconnect stackups and high-speed routing.
  • Conduct worst-case circuit, signal integrity, and power integrity analyses and interpret simulation results.
  • Create bring-up and verification plans, perform laboratory validation, support production release, and collaborate with manufacturing, test, software, and mechanical engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least 5 years of relevant board-level electronics design, analysis, and testing experience.
  • Expertise in digital and mixed-signal electronics, including signal integrity, FPGA implementation, ADCs/DACs, and telemetry subsystems.
  • Experience delivering complex hardware designs through production, debugging failures, performing root-cause analysis, and participating in design reviews.
  • Experience with PCB layout and signal or power integrity simulation tools such as Altium, Ansys SIwave, ADS SIPro, or Mentor HyperLynx.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and eligibility to work on U.S. space technology subject to applicable export regulations.

Nice to have

  • 8 or more years of professional electronics design experience.
  • High-speed digital electronics experience, including 10+ Gbps SerDes, simulation, laboratory verification, and optimization.
  • Software-defined radio experience and direct experience with high-reliability space or defense electronics.
  • Experience with space radiation environments, part derating, worst-case analysis, and thermal constraints.
  • Experience leading multi-module hardware architectures, requirements, make-or-buy decisions, and interconnect design.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hands-on, autonomous work in a dynamic and cross-functional startup environment.
  • Opportunities to mentor engineers and take on technical leadership responsibilities.
  • Full-time employment with company stock options.
  • Benefits include health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life, disability, and retirement plans.
