Utility Construction Management Associate 2 (Railroad)

Location: Delaware, DE; 100% on-the-road travel required

What you will do

• Observe utility installations on, under, and above railroad property.
• Perform on-site observations of trenchless construction within railroad rights-of-way near live tracks.
• Document pre- and post-construction conditions, verify materials and layouts, and ensure compliance with approved plans and utility agreements.
• Attend daily job briefings with railroad flaggers and contractor teams.
• Submit daily inspection reports using a tablet and accurately record time and expenses.
• Escalate potential non-compliance issues to management and engineers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of railroad or utility experience.
• Knowledge of AREMA standards and general construction practices.
• Proficiency with electronic communications, including email and text.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to rent and operate rental cars through approved vendors.
• Availability for on-site field work and 100% travel is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-risk jobs, including large-diameter installations, shoring near tracks, and non-traditional projects.
• Basic understanding of tablet operations.
