Lead Instrumentation, Electrical & Power Technician (Industrial Electrical Systems)

Location: Pasadena, Texas, United States. Onsite industrial work, typically on a 4x10 day-shift schedule; shift work, overtime, after-hours callouts, and year-round outdoor work may be required. Relocation will not be considered.

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, repair, and replace electrical equipment, including power generation, distribution, and ancillary systems.
• Perform field and shop maintenance, project, and construction work on electrical, instrumentation, and analyzer systems.
• Install cable trays, conduits, and wiring, and troubleshoot electronic, electrical, instrumentation, and analyzer equipment.
• Support systems including 4–20 mA loops, smart transmitters, thermocouples, vibration monitoring, process alarms, PLCs, Foundation Fieldbus, pneumatic instrumentation, motor controls, and electrical distribution.
• Plan and execute daily assignments while coordinating with Reliability, Operations, and Engineering.
• Implement improvements in reliability, integrity, efficiency, and workforce safety while following safe work practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of work experience, including military service, or completion of an accredited trade or vocational program.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a TWIC.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Ability to climb heights up to 200 feet and successfully complete confined-space entry testing.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round and accommodate variable shifts, overtime, and after-hours callouts.

Nice to have

• At least five years of industrial instrumentation and/or electrical experience.
• Instrumentation or electrical trade-school training.
• Completed oil and gas instrumentation and electrical internship or formal apprenticeship program.
