Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Reliability Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Corpus Christi site in Ingleside, Texas, with support for the La Porte, Texas site; approximately 25–50% travel between sites.

Salary: $116,071–$181,361 annually, plus an 11% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise for the reliability, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of plant electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Support low-, medium-, and high-voltage distribution systems, motor control centers, switchgear, relays, power cables, instrumentation, valves, and control systems.
• Participate in management of change, process hazard analyses, equipment evaluations, compliance reviews, and electrical hazard analysis for regulated and highly hazardous processes.
• Lead or support root cause failure analyses, kaizen events, structured problem-solving, and defect-elimination initiatives.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies, analyze reliability data, and improve critical spare-parts inventories.
• Support capital projects by reviewing designs, specifications, estimates, schedules, vendor proposals, and scopes of work.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of electrical, instrumentation, and/or reliability engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; 10+ years is preferred.
• Experience designing, specifying, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Experience with low- and medium-voltage distribution systems, including motor control centers, switchgear, relays, and power cables; high-voltage experience is required where applicable to site assets.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code, hazardous electrically classified locations, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to manage emergency situations, short-duration deadlines, multiple priorities, and cross-functional technical communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP.
• Lean maintenance experience and Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional certification.
• Advanced knowledge of failure analysis, reliability methodologies, predictive maintenance, FMEA, RCA, MTBF, TPM, OEE, lifecycle cost analysis, and total cost of ownership.
