Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Trainee

Location: Midland, Texas, United States; onsite field work may be required under qualified supervision. Schedule: 14/7 shift with 12+ hour days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Assist with the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation components under direct supervision.
• Learn electrical systems, sensors, controllers, wiring diagrams, instrumentation devices, and maintenance practices.
• Assist with equipment diagnostics and preventive maintenance activities.
• Complete hands-on training, skills assessments, competency evaluations, and required development milestones.
• Maintain accurate records of training and maintenance work.
• Follow HSE procedures, use PPE, attend safety meetings, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent required; a technical or associate’s degree is preferred.
• Effective English communication and written work documentation are required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Physical ability to perform the job functions and commitment to safe driving and work practices.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, and related software.
• Availability for a 14/7 schedule, including 12+ hour day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
