Purchasing Manager (Energy)

What you will do

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that improve cost savings, supply security, and operational efficiency.
• Lead supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, commercial terms, performance monitoring, and supplier development.
• Collaborate with departmental managers and stakeholders to align purchasing activities with business objectives.
• Manage the approved supplier list, due diligence, procurement records, and purchasing system workflows from purchase order to goods receipt.
• Establish and manage supplier SLAs, performance metrics, corrective actions, and contractual remedies.
• Identify procurement risks, alternative sourcing opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives, and present reports and market insights to the Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong supplier management and contract negotiation experience.
• A track record of delivering cost savings and procurement efficiencies.
• Ability to analyse data and present meaningful management information.
• Strong commercial awareness, financial understanding, organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with purchasing, ERP, or business management systems and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
