Director, CRE Originations

Location: New York, NY, United States

Annual base salary: $200,000–$250,000, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Generate new and existing client relationships nationwide through networking, referrals, cold calling, and industry conferences.
• Source, evaluate, structure, and execute commercial real estate debt investments in the US market.
• Underwrite loan opportunities using cash flow projections, valuations, loan metrics, ARGUS, and Excel.
• Negotiate mortgage loan terms with borrowers, including complex senior and subordinate structures.
• Coordinate originations and deal teams through investment and closing processes while mentoring junior team members.
• Prepare and present loan investment summaries and internal credit memos to the Investment Committee.

Requirements

• 7–12 years of experience in real estate lending.
• Demonstrated commercial real estate lending experience across multifamily, industrial, hospitality, self-storage, and retail.
• Proven ability to originate, structure, conduct due diligence, and close senior and subordinate debt transactions.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, complex loan structures, and financial modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ARGUS.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
