Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Node/React)

Location: On-site full-time in the Long Island City, Queens office, New York City. Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm, with occasional work outside regular hours and participation in an on-call rotation.

Base salary: $120,000–$150,000 per annum.

Gamer’s Choice operates an online and in-store trading card gaming community, with livestreams, tournaments, events, ecommerce, and warehouse fulfillment operations.

What you will do

• Own and architect the internal Node/Express, React, and SQLite platform supporting core operational workflows.
• Maintain system stability, security, authentication, authorization, backups, migrations, and incident response.
• Implement monitoring, logging, reporting, and KPI dashboards for operational performance.
• Design and ship revenue-driving features, including break configuration, promotional flows, and upsell experiences.
• Build workflow improvements for picking, packing, task management, footage retrieval, inventory, fulfillment, and retail operations.
• Collaborate with the Chief of Staff and on-floor teams to turn operational problems into scoped, shipped features.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional full-stack development experience with Node/Express and React.
• Experience building or owning production web applications and internal tools for logistics, warehouse, ecommerce, retail, or other operations environments.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot, including verification and refactoring of generated code.
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly with non-technical managers and end users.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site full-time in Long Island City, NYC.
• Availability for on-call support for urgent livestream, fulfillment, and warehouse issues.

Nice to have

• Interest or experience with Pokémon TCG, trading cards, or graded cards.
• Experience with livestream commerce platforms such as TikTok, Whatnot, or Twitch, or with Shopify and other marketplaces.
• Experience with media-heavy applications, ffmpeg, image, QR, or barcode scanning, and S3-compatible storage such as Cloudflare R2.
