Environmental Health And Safety Supervisor (Wastewater Treatment)

Location: San Jose, California, United States; onsite role. Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Salary: $78,850–$131,417 per year, with a potential annual or quarterly bonus and possible shift premium.

What you will do

• Supervise, train, and evaluate wastewater treatment operators.
• Oversee wastewater treatment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and corrective work orders.
• Maintain process, inspection, and compliance records and administer hazardous waste, stormwater, air emissions, TRI, Tier II, and chemical management programs.
• Analyze safety metrics, conduct site evaluations, drills, and monthly health and safety training, and ensure PPE availability.
• Develop SOPs and emergency response plans for spills, overflows, equipment failures, and other environmental or safety incidents.
• Review capital projects and production changes for EHS impact and coordinate with engineering, production, contractors, managers, and supervisors.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of wastewater treatment processes and their applications.
• Two or more years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices applied to wastewater treatment.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal, written communication, mathematical, multitasking, and leadership skills.
• Microsoft Office and Outlook proficiency; ability to read specifications and procedures.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required for ITAR compliance; First Aid response training is required or preferred.
