Field Operations Manager (Water Treatment)

Location: Santa Clarita, California, with regular travel to Corona, California and multiple field locations

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and manage 20+ water treatment operators, maintenance technicians, and field personnel across multiple facilities.
• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, performance, and compliance of wastewater treatment facilities, distribution systems, and field equipment.
• Troubleshoot pumps, motors, blowers, filtration systems, chemical feed systems, instrumentation, controls, and SCADA systems.
• Direct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, field resources, budgets, vendors, contractors, repairs, upgrades, installations, and technical support.
• Lead responses to equipment failures, process upsets, emergencies, and outages while preparing teams for inspections, audits, and client reviews.

Requirements

• 10+ years of treatment operations experience, preferably in environmental, oil and gas, landfill, or power industries.
• Experience with wastewater treatment equipment or HVAC systems, plus mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, engineering and project management practices, regulations, and codes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, time-management, and technical communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license, clean MVR, and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
• Ability to work outdoors, travel between field locations, lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, and handle hot, cold, rainy, windy, and sunny conditions.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a construction discipline.
